CARTA ABIERTA A LOS ENFERMOS DE

PARKINSON, ALLÍ DONDE SE ENCUENTREN

y...
a todos los que se ocupan y trabajan, dedican su tiempo y su vida a esta enfermedad y están al lado de los que la sufren, en fin, a todo los que hacen causa común en la búsqueda de la verdad de este mal con la esperanza sin desmayo de encontrar un día la solución y cura, a todos queremos haceros saber y participes:
1- Sobre el pasado mes de Agosto 2009, el GRUPO DE PACIENTES DE PARKINSON Y FAMILARES, GRUPARFA, Concepción (Chile) y la Asociación de enfermos de Parkinson de inicio temprano, EPIT, Murcia (España) y EPIT Illes Balears (España) tomaron la iniciativa de enviar a la OMS un escrito con peticiones y solicitudes concretas. A éste se le ha denominado Primer Manifiesto.
Prueba de ello es el encuentro que tuvo lugar en Santiago de Chile entre la OPS, Organización Panamericana de la Salud-OMS, representada en la persona del doctor Armando Vásquez, Asesor Regional en Discapacidad y Rehabilitación, por un lado, y la representación de GRUPARFA en las personas de Carlos Squella Toledo, vicepresidente y Patricia García Grandón, secretaria.
Hasta aquí lo sucedido, sirviendo los hechos expuestos de antecedentes y motivos para dirigiros esta carta.
2- Ahora bien, en el encuentro referido, una vez examinadas las peticiones que contenía este Primer Manifiesto, se vio que la mayoría de las peticiones eran factibles.
3- Concluída la valoración positiva de este Primer Manifiesto, se determinó, siguiendo las sugerencias del doctor Vásquez, recabar todas las adhesiones posibles al mismo a fin de dotarlo y afianzarlo del mayor número de apoyos.
4- Y esto es lo que pedimos, ni más ni menos, apoyos, cuantos más mejor. Al mismo tiempo se pide que este apoyo de vuestra parte venga acompañado de vuestras peticiones e ideas.
5- Tanto el denominado Primer Manifiesto, así como un resumen de las peticiones formuladas a la OMS por GRUPARFA podéis consultarlo en www.epit.es, pinchando en foro y después en mensajes.
6- Para recoger vuestra adhesión y peticiones se habilitará una página específica donde conste vuestro apoyo y sugerencias. Estos datos se entregarán en la OMS en calidad de adhesiones con valor de firma virtual. Al mismo tiempo se entregaran todas las peticiones recogidas y agrupadas temáticamente indicando en cada petición las adhesiones concretas que la apoyan.
7- El tiempo de este proceso se extiende hasta el VII Congreso (la información del mismo irá apareciendo enwww.epit.es), donde GRUPARFA y EPIT presentarán a los asistentes un segundo y definitivo manifiesto surgido de vuestras aportaciones para su ratificación y aprobación por los congresistas asistentes debidamente informados y convocados para este fin.
8- Disponéis desde ahora y hasta la conclusión de este proyecto de toda la información que se vaya generando en www.epit.es
